Car history:
You are looking at a 1969 Corvette convertible that has been the subject of an off the frame restoration and was brought into our shop by a customer to complete. He had a significant occurence happen in his life and has decided to not go forward with completing it so we are selling it for him. We have been through the car and are quite familiar with it. It is a numbers matching 427 big block engine with the block casting number of 3963512, the VIN is matching on the block pad to the car and the engine code of LM is also correct. It has been rebuilt and runs smoothly and quiet as it should without any unusual noises or smoke. The M20 4 speed manual transmission has also been rebuilt and shifts very smoothly as does the new clutch without any issues whatsoever. The entire underside of the vehicle has been restored with new power steering system, braking system, e-brake system, exhaust system and front and rear rebuilt suspensions. This Corvette does run and drive as it is but is in need of parts to complete it fully. We have inspected this car and compiled the below list:
Missing Items: Right front parklamp, headlamp hi and low beam bulbs, headlamp retaining rings, lower front spoiler, a/c evaporator box, a/c compressor, a/c condenser, engine fan and clutch, fan shroud, vacuum canister, ignition shielding, tachometer drive cable, wiper limit switch, wiper stop switch, wiper actuator rod, wiper motor, hood release assembly inside, dipstick tube (we have dipstick), wiper arms and blades, wheel trim rings, a/c center vent, wiper switch, right a/c, deflector outlet, outer windshield side moldings, "A" pillar weather strips, kick panels, center console right side extension panel, a/c control panel, rear compartment trays - center and right, rear cargo lamp, convertible top (we have the frame assembly), rear top hold down pins, convertible top release mechanism and cables, battery hold down, gas door spring, spare tire carrier, inside rear view mirror, left side view mirror retainer (we have mirror), horns.
WE HAVE BUT NOT INSTALLED: headlamp door pivot rebuild kit - NEW, A/C hard lines, A/C compressor to condenser hose, wiper door actuator, convertible top weather strip kit - NEW, upper spare tire tray, door locks with keys - NEW, side vent trim and screws.
NEW and INSTALLED: exhaust system - complete, e-brake system, radiator, spark plug wires - correct shrouded, alternator, water pump, belts, hoses, shifter console plate, rebuilt tilt/telescopic steering column, tires - radial, power steering system
windshield - tinted, carpet.
The paint is in beautiful condition with very few flaws. The chrome has been freshly done. As you can see from the list above, there is not an enormous amount of parts necessary to complete this Corvette. There may be items that you may want to change to suit your taste. We are selling this Corvette as it sits. We are a restoration shop and extremely familiar with Corvettes so if you'd like to have us complete it we are certainly open to discussing that option. We can complete it as an enjoyable driver or to meet national judging standards such as Bloomington Gold or NCRS Top Flight awards. It is available for viewing here at our facility in our showroom. 40,896 miles from the odometer. Color codes from the trim plate. Assembly date is E20. $18,600 and running. January 31, 2013.
